With its ultra simple construction (just two pattern pieces plus some bias tape, and no closures needed), elegant loose cut shaped with bust darts, and the box pleat detail down the front, Sorbetto is a pattern you can throw together in a huge range of fabrics for summer.

A classic!  If you haven't made one yet, download the pattern and do it!  As a newbie seamstress there's great tips like how to sew continuous bias binding from a 10" square of fabric (tutorial on the blog), and then how to apply the bias binding to your facings.  You won't regret it, but will then need to make many  more!
