Perfect t-shirt pattern!  Everyone who sews and wears t-shirts should own this :)

Sewaholic's 1201 Renfrew Top is an extremely versatile sewing pattern. Though I often draft my own patterns, I chose the Renfrew when I was looking for commercial sewing patterns that would work with the sweater knit fabrics I machine knit. I was influenced by all the great reviews I've read about the pattern!

Though it clearly states on the pattern envelope that the recommended fabrics  are "stable knit fabrics", so far, I've used the pattern for both a lacy cotton sweater knit (not so stable) and a wool double jacquard sweater knit (stable). The pattern worked well for both these fabrics.

The sewing instructions are well written and easy to follow. The Sewaholic patterns are designed for "pear-shaped women". Since I'm more rectangular, minor adjustments were necessary. It was easy to blend between sizes, because the pattern pieces are nested.

What I disliked about the pattern is that it includes seam allowances, but I know lots of people love them. Also it's a tissue paper pattern. I got around that by cutting my own flat pattern out of banner paper.

It's  fun sewing -- quick and straight forward. I'll probably make yet another one day.
