I dug up on old sweater from the flea market, unravelled it, and knit it again into a chunky, comfy shrug that’ll keep me warm during the winter.
The shrug balances stockinette with seed stitch, and features a crochet picot cast-off which gives it a light, airy feel. This style doesn’t have closure in the front, and can be worn open, or closed with a pin or brooch. This feature gives the shrug versatility in a feminine way.
The seed stitch shrug is knit with large needles, and has a shaped back and sleeves. The wide border can be knit as large or as narrow as You choose.
Gauge: 4″ x 4″/ 10 cm x 10 cm = 20 rows and 15 stitches in stockinette and 24 rows and 15 stitches in seed stitch.
The pattern is written in Finnish and English, and includes phase photos.
