Quilting 1: Basics for Beginners

Wikipedia says: "Quilting is the process of sewing of two or more layers of fabric together to make a thicker padded material, usually to create a quilt or quilted garment. Typically, quilting is done with three layers: the top fabric or quilt top, batting or insulating material and backing material."

We say quilting is a fun and an addictive way to make something out of those fabric scraps laying aroung your storage!

The basic supplies you will need are:

  • Stabilizer
  • Temporary Adhesive Spray
  • Sewing Needles
  • Safety pins
  • Small scissors or snips
  • Rotary cutter
  • Ruler
  • Marking tools

The basic materials you will need are:

  • Fabric
  • Batting
  • Embroidery Thread
  • Bobbin Thread
