I found a beautiful ikat scarf at the thrift store and mixed it with a matching shirt to make it into a tunic. I chose Simplicity 1461 because the center panel of the tunic made a great focal point for the scarf. I reused the fringe for the sleeves.
This pattern is easy to sew and came together quickly. The neckline is finished with a facing and topstitched with a 1" seam allowance. There are no zippers, buttons or closures to get in the way.
