Pink Herringbone Pointed Loafer Perfection
by Natasha Estrada Follow

Made on a size 9 pointed toe last. Teardrop heel 1/2” Upper made from a herringbone wool that I had made a jacket from and a pink kidskin lining. Vegetan sole with a neoprene heel.

  • Master pattern and upper and lining patterns

  • Texon board which is a fancy type of cardboard designed specifically for shoes molded to make heel counters

  • Drawing the design onto the last which has been covered in masking tape. This is carefully cut off and transferred to cardboard to make a pattern for the shoe

  • The upper and lining have been sewn together and the upper pulled over and lasted to create the shoes shape.

  • The materials chosen for the upper was pink herringbone wool left over from a tailored jacket I had made and some pink kidskin leather
